Our story began in the summer of 2020, when our family purchased this special, nearly 3-hectare plot surrounded by hills in Campu Cetatii, Mures county. It is located in the heart of Transylvania: just 45 km from Targu Mures and 17 km from Sovata. On one side it can be reached directly from the main road, while on the other side the small Nyarad stream flows quietly. From the very first moment, we felt this place was more than just a piece of land - yet we needed time to find the dream we wanted to bring to life here.
After long periods of reflection, planning and dreaming, in 2025 we finally made the decision: we would embark on a great adventure and create our own campsite.
From the very beginning, a simple yet important goal guided us: to create a place where people can reconnect with nature. A place where they can slow down, recharge, and enrich themselves with real experiences - whether it is a family holiday, time away with friends, or a quiet weekend under the open sky.
The works began in the autumn of 2025. This is when we started shaping the pitches, building drinking-water and electricity networks for every single plot, and planting shrubs around the plots to create an even more intimate, nature-close atmosphere. In parallel, we also prepared and arranged the terrain. Even at this stage, we placed great emphasis on ensuring that every detail of the campsite would be thoughtful and harmonious.
During the development, we aimed to combine the closeness of nature with modern comfort and premium experiences. As part of this, we also created a wellness area with an outdoor sauna and two hot tubs, while placing strong emphasis on spacious, private plots and family-friendly community spaces.
Our guests are welcomed by wide green areas, small ponds, sports opportunities, community spaces and wellness experiences - all in a friendly, family-like environment. In this spirit, we created a playground for children, made the area around the ponds even more magical with ambient lights, developed a zone suitable for grilling, built an artificial-turf football field, and also installed table tennis and foosball tables.
This is how Willow Camp was born by the spring of 2026, warmly welcoming guests with around 37 plots and more than 150 tent spots. Our goal was to create a premium-standard campsite where quality services provide great experiences for both children and adults. Out of our love for nature, our campsite is pet-friendly, so we are also happy to welcome four-legged companions.
For us, this is not just a business, but the realization of a shared dream.
